What Hushhh! Does

Hushhh! monitors your WhatsApp parent groups and extracts actionable items (events, tasks, reminders) for each of your children. All processing happens directly on your phone.

Data That Stays on Your Device

• WhatsApp messages
• Classified events and tasks
• Children's names and profiles
• Watched group associations
• Notification settings and preferences
• Vacation schedules

This data is stored in a local database on your phone. It is excluded from iCloud backup for your protection.

Data Sent to Anthropic (AI Provider)

When a message is classified, the message text is sent directly from your device to Anthropic's API for classification. No names, phone numbers, or identity information is included. Anthropic does not store this data or use it for model training. See Anthropic's privacy policy.

Data on Our Server

Our server stores only what is needed for authentication and service improvement:

• Apple Sign-In data: Name, email, and Apple user ID — provided by Apple when you sign in.
• Operational metadata: Classification accuracy metrics (no message content — only a one-way hash for matching corrections).
• Error logs: Sanitized error reports to help us fix issues (message content is stripped).

User-Submitted Feedback

If you submit feedback to improve classification (e.g., reporting a wrong event type or date), the notes you write are sent to our server. This is the only case where text you author reaches our server, and it happens only when you explicitly submit it.

What We Never Do

• We never send your WhatsApp messages to our server
• We never sell, share, or monetize your data
• We never use your data for advertising
• We never access your WhatsApp account beyond reading group messages

Data Retention

• Processed messages are automatically purged from your device after 7 days
• Dismissed events are purged after 30 days
• You can delete all your data at any time from Settings
• You can request deletion of your server data via Settings → Privacy Audit → Delete My Data

Children's Privacy

Hushhh! processes information about school activities that may mention children. This information never leaves your device. Children's names stored in your profile are local only and are never sent to our server or any third party.
